Associate Items to Bins

The first time you scan a bin, you'll need to associate formulary items to the bin, the same way you would associate items to a segment in a kit. To associate an item to a bin, first select the Add Formulary Item to Bin link next to an item in the Wrong Items for this Bin table.

After clicking Add Formulary Item to Bin, you can choose add only the single formulary item, which will add only the one specific NDC selected, or choose to add all NDCs across all manufacturers that share the same generic product, strength, and package as the selected item.

Once you make a selection, click Add to Bin to finalize the association.

Adding the generic product will associate any NDC from any manufacturer that meets the specified criteria, eliminating the need to add each individual NDC. As new items get added to the Medispan database that meet the same criteria, they will also satisfy the bin without any additional associations.
