One tag must be printed for each kit and one tag (label or foam backed) must be applied to every item in every kit. Tags can be printed or associated (for foam backed tags) through the Tags drop-down on the main header. Each tag has a unique 24 character serial number called an Electronic Product Code (EPC). The EPC can be used for troubleshooting if any issues arise with tags.
Kit Tags
To print kit tags, click the Tags drop-down and select Print Kit Tags.
First select the appropriate kit type then click Next.
To print a single kit tag, select the Next button to advance to Step 2. To print a range of kit tags for the selected kit type, adjust the Quantity field up from the default of 1.
The Physical Label ID in Step 2 is any unique identifying name or number that is visible on the kit. Enter the appropriate number or name in the free text field and select Next to print the kit tag. When printing a range of kit tags, editable Physical Label fields will display for the quantity entered in Step 1, with pre-populated numbers incrementing up from 1.
If needed, select the appropriate printer destination, then print and affix the tag to the kit. It is recommended the kit tag is placed somewhere without high friction (i.e. on a vertical wall). For best results, clean the sticker location with an alcohol swab prior to affixing. This tag should never be removed.
For instructions on replacing, reprinting, or deleting kit tags, see the Replace and Delete Kit Tags section of this guide. Below is a picture of a kit tag:
