The KitCheck tags have been designed to work on the wide variety of products in your pharmacy, including vials, boxes, bags, tubes, and liquids. The metal in foil-lined bags can interfere with RF signals, requiring a different tagging method for these units. Users can either flag the normal KitCheck tag off the item or use a specially-ordered foam-backed tag to provide physical separation between the RFID tag and the product.
If your hospital uses foam-backed tags, select Foil Lined Bag (pre-printed) as the tag type under Select Tag Type. After inputting the lot and expiration date information, you will be prompted to associate foam-backed tags by scanning the QR code(s) on the tag(s) using the barcode scanner. Each QR code will then display on the screen. Select Provision Tags and then affix the tags to the items.
