EDI Pricing Data Added to Items Consumed and Removed Report

The Items Consumed and Removed Report allows users to run a report on all items that have been used or removed from their kits within a given timeframe. For example, a user could filter for all items that have been removed due to recalls, expiration, or damage. To allow a pharmacy operations manager to better understand their drug usage and expiration in the context of how much it impacts their budget, we’ve now pulled in pricing data from the EDI service. This could allow them to make more informed decisions about item stocking and purchasing.

If you share EDI pricing with us, you will have access to the new Pricing Data filter, which allows you to choose from three pricing source options: WACGPO, and 340B. This filter changes the value in the new Total Cost column in the report, which shows a sum of all costs associated with each reason (Expired, Recalled, etc.). Clicking on a row to expand it will show a breakdown of the number of items and associated costs per reason.

For those who are not sharing EDI data with us, you will see a Missing Pricing Data message and the filter will be visible, but not usable. The notification can be dismissed, but will be displayed each time you navigate to the page.
