Fresenius Kabi Data Re-verification

Modified on Tue, Aug 5 at 3:12 PM

There are two groups of Fresenius Kabi batches that require additional effort in order to use them within KitCheck. The first batch of Fresenius Kabi pre-tagged products are disabled and ignored in KitCheck; originally removed from the system in August 2024. The second group of Fresenius Kabi products are re-verified lots which behave inconsistently when scanned. After investigating the matter, we tracked these inconsistencies to differences in tag association uploads by the manufacturer. Fresenius Kabi has partially re-scanned and re-verified these lots.

Re-verified Lots

This list of re-verified batches may or may not work in KitCheck depending on whether the individual item has completed Fresenius Kabi’s re-verification process for that particular batch. As part of a re-verification process, Fresenius Kabi has been working to re-scan and upload the verified tag data for its pre-tagged products. While that effort is ongoing, KitCheck is aware that customers have discovered un-verified products with lots that have undergone the re-verification process. These items are currently ignored by KitCheck scans.

If you are seeing an alert banner containing individual serial numbers as in the example below, you have received a batch that has undergone the process of re-verification by Fresenius Kabi.

How to Fix Re-Verified Lots

Step 1: Locate and remove the items from your kit or bin and set aside as part of a “Bad Tagged Items” group. Continue to stock the kit with replacement items.  If you have items in their original cartons, scan the carton and separate those into good and bad batches.

Step 2: Contact Fresenius Kabi Customer Service (customerservice.usa@fresenius-kabi.comto inform them that you have received unverified pre-tagged items.  Fresenius Kabi may request additional batch or serial information.

Step 3: For any items that remain in your inventory, please retag with KitCheck tags and reassociate through the normal workflow.

Disabled and Ignored Lots

Certain batches of Fresenius Kabi pre-tagged products have been disabled since August 2024. Those products continue to require retagging to work in KitCheck.

How to Fix Disabled and Ignored Lots

Step 1: Locate and remove the items from your kit or bin

Step 2: Retag with KitCheck tags and reassociate through the normal workflow.

When and where will I see the alert banner?

You will continue to see the yellow alert banner with full instructions for all scans with Fresenius Kabi unverified or ignored tags inside, even after they have been retagged. Retagged items will, however, fulfill segment PAR requirements.

Complete kit scans will display a shortened version of the banner to reduce disruption to the user.
