Effective November 6, 2025, the partnership supporting the use of Fresenius Kabi +RFID pre-tagged products within the KitCheck system has concluded. Bluesight’s KitCheck solution will continue to support Fresenius Kabi +RFID products that are already accurately registered in the Bluesight cloud registry. This includes any +RFID inventory currently in your pharmacy or care areas. However, new or unregistered Fresenius Kabi +RFID products will no longer automatically populate item data when scanned.
This change affects only RFID-based inventory tracking only. It does not impact medication safety, quality, or regulatory compliance. All Fresenius Kabi medications continue to meet FDA requirements for safety and effectiveness.
Transition Timeline
Most customers will have several weeks – typically up to two months based on usual inventory cycles – before newly received, unregistered items begin appearing in active workflows.
We recommend considering the following approaches, depending on your facility's workflow needs:
Continue to use existing Fresenius Kabi +RFID inventory already registered in KitCheck
As applicable, apply standard KitCheck RFID tags to new +RFID items that are not registered with KitCheck to maintain workflow consistency
If you need additional tags for these purposes, please reach out to Bluesight’s support team.
Disabled and Ignored +RFID Items
Items that are ignored due to inaccurate or incomplete data, will require retagging to work in KitCheck. This will include the application of a KitCheck tag and completion of the tag association flow.
How to Fix Disabled and Ignored Lots
Step 1: Locate and remove the items from your kit or bin
Step 2: Retag with KitCheck tags and reassociate through the normal workflow.
If additional tags are needed to cover this previously pre-tagged inventory, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager or Support Team member.
When and where will I see the alert banner?
You will continue to see the yellow alert banner with full instructions for all scans with Fresenius Kabi unverified or ignored tags inside, even after they have been retagged. Retagged items will, however, fulfill segment PAR requirements.
Complete kit scans will display a shortened version of the banner to reduce disruption to the user.
