Features

Ability to Archive Formulary Item(s)

Manager-levelby  users can now archive a Formulary Item in your hospital's Formulary. Items can be archived navigating to the Formulary (Inventory>Manage Formulary) and clicking on the specific item. This will open the Edit Formulary Item page and an 'Archive' button will display.

After selecting 'Archive,' a confirmation page will display, providing an informational message on what will happen after archiving item:

If the item that is being archived is currently located in any individual Kits or Bins in the hospital, the number of Kits and/or Bins that the specific item is in will display on the confirmation page (see image above). If desired, you can click on the link to the 'Kits & Bins Containing Specific NDC/Lot Number Report' to locate which Kits and Bins the item is in. This report will open in a new window so you can easily go back to archiving the item.

After confirming the archive, a new page displays with a success message and lands on page filtered to contain all Kit Masters this item was just removed from so you can replace the item in those Kits if you choose.

After the Formulary Item is archived, it will no longer appear on the Formulary Item list in KitCheck and will now be listed under new tab 'Archived Formulary Items'. In addition to the standard information about the archived item, you will also be able to view who the Item was archived by and the date and time it was archived.

If an item is archived and unarchived multiple times, it will display the user and date/time of the most recent archival. Any items that have been archived by KitCheck Support will read 'KitCheck Support'.

Archived Formulary Item Behavior

While an item is in an archived state, users will be unable to print or associate item tags for the item. Managers and non-manager users will see two slightly different messages informing him/her why tags are unable to be printed/associated for this item:

Non-Manager User message when attempting to print tags for an archived item:

While an item is in an archived state, all users will be unable to re-add this item to the Formulary via the standard workflow to add new items (Inventory>Manage Formulary>Add New Formulary Item). If an item belongs back in the Formulary, it will need to be unarchived by a Manager user.

Managers and non-manager users will see two slightly different messages informing him/her why this item cannot be added as a new Formulary Item:

Non- Manager user message when attempting to add an Archived Formulary Item to the Formulary:

If a Kit is scanned that contains an archived Formulary Item, a yellow banner message will display stating that archived items have been detected in the scan:

Ability to unarchive an archived Formulary Item

Along with the ability to archive a Formulary Item, we have also implemented the behavior to unarchive a Formulary Item. Managers will have the ability to unarchive any previously archived Items.

Managers can unarchive a Formulary Item by navigating the Manage Formulary>Archived formulary Items and clicking on the name of the Item they would like to unarchive. This will open details on this Formulary Item and display an 'Activate' button.

After selecting 'Activate' the user will see a confirmation modal.

Added Name of First Expiring Drug in Kit to Kits Page

We have added the name of the first drug to expire in a Kit to the Kits Page. If a single drug type is the first to expire, the column will display the drug name. If there are multiple different drugs first expiring the column will read 'Multiple.'

This column remains sortable by name and defaults to display order by Kit that was scanned most recently. Multiple different drugs first expiring:

One drug first expiring:

New columns have been added to both the excel and PDF downloads for the Kits page so the name of the drug first expiring in each Kit is reflected on the downloads.

Bug Fixes

Date/Time Added on Manage Formulary Page should both display the date & time in local time of the hospital: We fixed a bug where the date/time that was displaying on the Manage Formulary Page for when an item was added to the Formulary was displaying in East Coast time instead of the local time of the hospital. The date & time now displays in the hospital's local time.
