Features ☀️

We are excited to offer our users more enhancements using wholesaler pricing data! To utilize these two new features, as well as other pricing analytics in KitCheck, users will need to get wholesaler pricing data set up. Users can contact their Account Manager to get started.

Pricing Analytics on the Pharmacy Management Dashboard ?

Expired inventory can be costly, and we want to bring visibility into how much these expired items are costing the pharmacy and which items are contributing most to that cost.

The Pharmacy Management Dashboard will now show users the total cost of expired items, including a breakdown of cost by item type (vials, supplies, syringes, and everything else). This allows the pharmacy to identify trends and get more detailed reporting on expired inventory.

Expired cost data can be viewed for the Last MonthLast Quarter, or Last 365 Days. To view the data by a different catalog price type, users can select WACGPO, or 340B pricing. Finally, this data is pulled from the Items Consumed or Removed Report, so to view more detailed information about these items and filter down further, there is a link to take users directly to the Items Consumed or Removed Report.

Custom Item Prices for Formulary Items ?

For users who are sending wholesaler data to KitCheck, many of their formulary items are now being updated with pricing information. However, some items in their formulary may not be purchased from a wholesaler (e.g. items purchased from 503Bs), and these items do not having pricing information available automatically in KitCheck.

For items with no price coming from a user’s wholesaler data, there is now an Item Price field available where users can add a custom price for a formulary item. Once a custom price has been entered and saved, users can go back and edit that price as needed.

Updates & Fixes ?

  • When adding a new formulary item, if a user searches for a unit of sale NDC, we will recommend the corresponding unit of use NDC to add instead. This allows for more accurate pricing analytics throughout KitCheck, and ensures the correct NDC is used for the tagging workflow.
  • Fix an issue where reports were not able to be downloaded when the hospital name was more than 31 characters long.

Upcoming Features & Bug Fixes ?

Release 237

  • Fix an issue where users with sufficient permissions are not able to update other users’ email addresses or roles. This issue is most commonly seen for ControlCheck users who have access to the application at multiple hospitals.
