Canada: Reporting

Modified on Wed, Nov 8, 2023 at 5:38 PM

The KitCheck application contains a number of helpful reports that show the state of various kits and items in the system. The three categories of reports are:

  • Items & kits
  • Activity
  • Prescriptive Intelligence

Item Expiry Reports

This shows kits which, during their last scan, contained an item that is expiring within a user defined threshold. KitCheck has configured 30, 60, and 90 day expiration day reports. If a custom number of days is used, choose the Custom Expiry Report. The report evaluates both the refrigerated expiration (if available) and manufacturer’s expiration to find the soonest expiration date.

Kit State Reports

The kit state reports allow you to quickly view issues that are present in the kits throughout the hospital.

Kits Needing Rework

This shows kits scanned within a user-defined time period. You can also filter to show only incomplete or incorrect kits (as of their last scan). This includes kits with expired/expiring items, missing items, or extra items.

Kitted Item Inventory

This report shows item masters and how many kits the item is in.

Item Attribute Reports

Item attribute reports are designed to quickly track down specific items that are distributed in kits throughout the hospital. If there is a recall or shortage situation where a specific DIN and/or lot number need to be located, these reports can quickly locate particular items.

Kits Containing a Specific DIN and Lot Number

This report lists all kits which, during their last scan, contained a specific DIN and/or lot number.

Custom Item Report

This report lists all kits which, during their last scan, contained a specific DIN, lot number, and/or expiration date. The results can also be filtered by kit master

Activity Reports

The activity reports offer different ways to capture your hospital’s activity in KitCheck.

User Activity Report

This report shows the last 1,000 activity entries at your facility. Activities monitored include kit scans, kit creations, item creations, and verification.

Print Batch

The print batch report lists each batch of Item tags that were printed. The report shows audit information (who printed the tags and when), and details about the item(s) being tagged (DIN, lot number, expiration date). The report can be filtered to show only batches of restricted tags (not printed by a verified user, nor having been explicitly verified) or all batches of tags. You can click on each row of the report to see details of each tag that was printed in that batch.

Hospital Activity

This report gives you a summary of the activity in your system grouped by day. Here you can monitor trends in how productive your facility is being using KitCheck. The three metrics include how many kits were scanned, how many kit tags were created, and how many item tags were created.

Items Tagged

This report allows you to see how many items were created on a certain day. This report lists each DIN in a separate line and gives you the total number of medications that were created on that day. This will include items tagged in the hospital and by any third-party taggers. This report can be easily exported to excel for further analysis.

Items Consumed or Removed

This report shows all items that have come out of a kit for one reason or another (usually this represents items that were consumed during clinical activities or removed due to expiration date issues). This report includes all items that were once in a kit and then were missing in one of the subsequent scans of that kit. If the item is later placed in a different kit, it won’t show up in this report.

Custom Reports

If a specific report is not currently available that would be beneficial in your pharmacy, please contact us at help@kitcheck.com to discuss your needs.
