Completing a full calibration can remedy several error messages, such as paper-out and ribbon-out errors, that appear on the printer. Doing a full calibration can take up to 15 minutes.

  1. To begin a full calibration press the Setup/Exit button on the front of the printer.
  2. Press the right arrow button until you get to Media and Ribbon Calibrate.
  3. Press the + button.
  4. The screen will now say Load Backing.
  5. Open up the print head and pull 4 tags through the printer.
  6. Peel the tags off and leave the backing connected to the roll.
  7. Rewind the roll.
  8. Press the + button, the screen will now say Remove Ribbon.
  9. To remove the ribbon (ink ribbon) move the ribbon over to the right away from the red light.
  10. Press the + button, the screen will say Reload All.
  11. Put the ribbon back into place and close the print head.
  12. Press the + button and it will send out several tags.
  13. You have completed a full calibration.
